چکیده

A unified power flow controller (UPFC) based on the flying capacitor (FC) multilevel voltage-source converter (VSC) topology with phase-shifted sinusoidal pulse-width modulation (PWM) control is presented. This converter allows higher power handling, potentially lower power loss, lower harmonic distortion and hence less filtering requirements when compared with the typical two-level counterpparl. The series converter injects a voltage with controlled magnitude and phase, to control the activelreactive power flow in a transmission line. The shunt converter absorbs/ supplies active power demanded by the series converter to maintain a constant DC link voltage, also providing independent reactive support to the network. A coniplete model of the proposed UPFC system is shown and control circuits are described in the synchronous d-q frame. Finally, simulation results are provided to confirm the robustness of the proposed system.

Improved Ride-through Capability of Dc-link Voltage in Npc Multilevel Upfc with Flc

In this paper we proposed an advanced Multi-level converters with ride through capability for unified power-flow controller (UPFC) applications, because of high power ratings Among all multilevel topologies, the three-level neutral-pointclamped (NPC) converter allows back-to-back connection as the UPFC shunt and series converters gives us better results. Besides the pulse widthmodulated (PWM) m...

High Power Multilevel Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) for Effective Control of Real & Reactive Power

High-voltage and power capability of multilevel converters better used for unified power-flow controller (UPFC application). The three-level neutral-point-clamped (NPC) converter allows back-to-back connection as the UPFC shunt and series converters than other multilevel topologies. In place of the pulse width-modulated (PWM) multilevel control schemes, constant dc-link voltage and balanced vol...

A Review on New Hybrid Active Neutral Point Clamped Flying Capacitor Multilevel Inverter

This paper presents the hybrid seven-level cascaded active neutral-point-clamped (ANPC)-based multilevel converter. The converter topology is the cascaded connection of a three-level ANPC converter and an H-bridge per phase. The proposed topology provides a tradeoff between different component counts to achieve a good loss distribution, avoid direct series connection of semiconductor devices, k...
